It’s been almost a year since Potato and Seneca have been with me, and both are growing into huge babies! Seneca recently has been trying to hide, so we’ll just focus on Potato for pictures.
While Potato still does her notorious Superman position, she’s added climbing trees to her list of tricks – look at her flex that tiny bicep! As of May, she is 2.4 inches and is 2/3 the size of my hand, although she still has a lot of growing to do.
Seneca is actually way smaller than Potato now, probably because she doesn’t bask as often or eat as much as Potato does. She is approximately 2 inches, although also almost 2/3 of my hand.
Both turtles’ favorite treats include earthworms, ants (they’ve been getting into our house and crawling into the tank goodness gracious), and their main diet of Wardley reptile sticks.
Potato and her sister will definitely be upgrading to a nice and spacious glass tank – she really enjoys touching noses with Seneca when they meet and comes scrambling to beg for food any time someone walks into the room.
I can’t wait to see her swim around and bask in a bigger tank soon!!
